Brenda volunteered to go down toward the water for me to take a picture. We had been watching the waves, and they didn't seem to be too bad on this one rock. So I agreed that it was a good idea. Brenda walked down to a spot and turned around. I had a new camera which advanced the film, so I got the idea of running off several frames in order to get some good wave action. As I started to run through the film, a wave came and dowsed Brenda up to her knees. She raised up her hands to me as if to say, "Can you believe it?" Just then another wave came in. She came back to me pretty quickly after that. We heard later that some people had been washed away into the ocean doing the very same thing. We felt very fortunate that nothing worse happened but wet shoes and socks.
