Brenda and I were taken to the airport by my sister, Wendy. We arrived at 5:00 p.m. for an 8:00 flight. We checked our one piece of luggage in and took our carry-ons with us. Arrived at the gate at 5:30 p.m. We both read while we waited. A British family sat near us. They had a small daughter who was a bundle of energy. They tried very hard to keep her from getting bored. Hearing a little child speak with that accent was very cute.

Boarded the plane at 7:45 p.m. Took off at 8:30 p.m. The plane was a US Airways Boeing 767. It was a 7 hour flight. There was a 5 hour time difference. That means that we would be landing in Manchester around 8:00 a.m. Manchester time.

The in-flight movie was "Agnes Browne" -- rated "R". It stars Angelica Huston. She also directed. It's about a woman whose husband dies and leaves her with 7 children in 1967 England. I don't think I'll ever want to see it again.

Very little sleep. The food was some of the best food I've ever had on a plane. I had gingered tenderloin of beef, and Brenda had lasagna.
