After the guided tour, we were free to roam around the city. We went up to the Castle again and began walking down the Royal Mile.
We went through John Knox's House Museum. It was at one time owned by one of the richest men in the city. He was a jeweler and designed the Scottish crown (the second oldest royal crown in Europe). John Knox lived there also. He had debates with Mary Queen of Scots who was Catholic.

This the interior of a church that is on the Royal Mile.
