On our way from Edinburgh to Glasgow there were several stops. The first was on a road from which we could look up at the Stirling Castle. Some of my relatives have the name Stirling. We were very sorry that we could only get pictures from far away. Not too far from Stirling are the sites of two famous battles in Scottish history: The Battle at Stirling Bridge where the Scottish forces were led by William Wallace, and the Battle of Bannockburn (about 2 miles away) in 1314 where the Scottish forces under Robert the Bruce defeated the English

Then we stopped at a Scottish Wool Center in Aberfoyle. There was a cafeteria and large souvenir area. There was also a display of several types of sheep and a humorous show.

In Glasgow we drove to the Kelvingrove Art Gallery and Museum. Quite a few displays of armor and weapons. The Scottish art was great, too. Also, there were displays of now extinct creatures that lived in Scotland.
