I woke up at 5:15 a.m. and looked at the alarm clock. It wasn't moving. We needed to get up at 6:15 a.m., so I just stayed awake until then. We put our luggage out at 6:34 a.m. and went down to the bus at 7:00 a.m. Brian drove us to the airport. We took off from Glasgow at 9:00 a.m. After my experience at Manchester Airport, I will never again agree to land there. The process they put us through in order to get to our gate was exasperating. Boarded the US Airways flight (finally) and took off for Philadelphia. They showed 3 movies: "Agnes Browne" (again), "Diamonds," and "Galaxy Quest." We had seen "Galaxy Quest" before, but it was still good the second time.
The 7 hour flight and the 5 hour time change meant that we arrived in 2 hours time. Not quite as exhausting as the flight to Scotland. Landed in Philadelphia and went through Immigrations and Customs. No problems. Took a train to Oreland station, and then we walked home.
