Day 2, Part 3: Sunday, November 4, 2001
We bought our tickets, but we had to find something to do for a couple hours. There is a coffee shop in the ground floor of the County Hall. We bought some coffee and danish and sat down. Outside the coffee shop was a clock. The glass was so old that the clock came out very distorted in the picture. - - - Actually, it was a sculpture advertising the Salvador Dali art display that was on exhibit in the County Hall. I acquired a postcard (free) at the coffeeshop of the cast of "Fawlty Towers."

The silhouette of the Parliament Building and Big Ben was taken from inside one of the cabins of The Eye. Our tickets were for the 5:00 p.m. entry to The Eye, so the sun was setting. The second picture is of the inside of our cabin. There was a central bench. Most people stood around by the windows. I was able to get some pictures by resting my camera on a railing and carefully pressing the shutter release. The ride lasted for about 30 minutes.
