Crater Lake, OR: The lake, walls, etc. The small island in the center of the picture is called 'The Phantom Ship.' It is the oldest rock in the area, possibly 400,000 years old. Thought to be the remains of a much older volcano that became part of Mt. Mazama. (19L9a)

Crater Lake, OR: This is a golden-mantled ground squirrel. It has markings similar to a chipmunk, but it is 2-3 times bigger. Also, the stripes stop at the ground squirrel's shoulder, while the stripes on a chipmunk go over the eyes. (20M22a)

Crater Lake, OR: Another composite of the lake (made of three pictures). This time the pictures are taken near sunset. The sky may look odd, but that is because of the way the pictures had to be combined. It created blank areas in the corners. I filled them in. (20M25a,20M26a,20M27a)
