Christ Church Cathedral

This is the outside of Christ Church Cathedral. We were told by a cab driver that there are no Roman Catholic Cathedrals in Dublin even though 90-95% of the population is Catholic. All of the cathedrals are either Church of Ireland or another non-Catholic denomination. This dynamic is causing some problems for the cathedrals. One cathedral was recently sold (after the congregation had diminished to 2 people) to the Tourist Bureau and is now used as offices. The non-Catholic cathedrals are in need of creative fund raising in order to pay for their upkeep, so they will charge a fee to enter and walk around.

This is my first attempt at putting together three vertically oriented pictures. The other combinations that I've done were using horizontally oriented pictures. It looks a little weird, but you get the idea.

The above is another picture of some detail of the Christ Church Cathedral. There was another cathedral in Dublin, St. Patrick's Cathedral, but they were holding services when we arrived, so I didn't get a picture of the interior.
