DAY 7, Part 3: The Napa Valley Petrified Forest

There is a geyser located about 5 minutes from the Petrified Forest that is called Old Faithful. Of course, this is not the famous Old Faithful of Yellowstone National Park. It erupts very hot water about 60 feet in the air. During spring, when there is a lot of ground water, Old Faithful of Napa Valley erupts every 20 minutes. When the area goes into the dry part of the year, the eruptions are further apart. Also, there is a theory that it will not erupt for quite a while if there is an impending earthquake.
