Cedar Grove

Flash photography is not allowed inside any of the Fairmount Park mansions.
All of the interiors are hand-held. Some pictures may not be as clear as I would like for that reason. This picture was taken in the kitchen. You can see the fireplace. There is also a metal box to the right on the floor. It can be used like a rotisserie if a chicken, for example, is placed on the spit, and the box is turned toward the fire. To the left is a baking oven ("bread" is set up inside for display). It has its own heat source.

This window is to the left of the fireplace. There is a copper bowl has its own heat source (it has ivy or holly placed in it), and it can be used to maintain hot water.
