On the way to through the Simplon Pass
The first three pictures are of our bus trip through the Simplon Pass to Täsch.

From Täsch, you have to take a train to Zermatt, since gas and diesel vehicles aren't allowed in Zermatt.
Even the police use golf cart-like vehicles. The whole town is much quieter.
However, when you walk around Zermatt, you have to look around very carefully before changing directions
when you are walking. The quieter vehicles could be coming up behind you.
It is from Zermatt that you take a train to the observation area to see the Matterhorn and Monte Rosa.

Monte Rosa
Monte Rosa - the tallest peak in Switzerland.

Monte Rosa
You can see the glaciers that swirl around the Monte Rosa.

Matterhorn
The Matterhorn was covered by clouds the whole time we were up at the observatory.

On the way to Lausanne
This picture and the two following were taken on our way to Lausanne.
