ROSECLIFF
Rosecliff
Wikipedia article on Rosecliff

Rosecliff was built in 1898-1902 by the silver heiress, Theresa Fair Oelrichs.
It is a miracle that this building is still standing.
It was sold for $25000 to an actress who left it untended, which resulted in the pipes bursting one winter.
Water cascaded down the main stair and froze. I don't know how future owners and preservationists restored it to its current condition.
Of the five mansions I toured, it seems the one set up as a true home.

The day we toured Rosecliff, it was raining.
They do not allow any interior photography (including non-flash photography).
So we went back to Rosecliff very quickly the next day to get these two exterior photos.
Scenes for at least four movies ('The Great Gatsby', 'Amistad', '27 Dresses', and 'True Lies') were filmed here.
