  • Advantages: Castles are cheaper. High amount of Koku at the beginning of the game.
  • Initial Strategy: Take Mutsu on the first turn, then take Dewa. Keep the Uesugi on the run. Try to get an alliance with the Imagawa and Oda very early. After eliminating the Uesugi, and after you have the province of Shinano, take the three eastern Imagawa provinces. Make a treaty with the Mori. Begin attacking the Oda. After the Oda are weakened, get a treaty with the Shimazu. When the Oda are eliminated, attack the Mori. Eliminate the other clans when you can.
