  1. In order to play as Ronin, see the list of cheat codes.
  2. Strategy: The main strategy is to kill all Taishos -- Daimyos being a priority. The Taisho you kill today may have been the Daimyo of tomorrow. The obvious reason for killing Daimyos is that if the clan is eliminated, the provinces and units become Ronin.
    1. When the Daimyo has been killed, hit the ESC key. No use getting more men killed chasing after the Daimyo's men. After all, they may be Ronin when you get out of the battle.
    2. Retreating into a castle may not be such a bad thing -- especially if you are about to battle the Daimyo in an upcoming battle.
  3. There were a few things I noticed during the games I played as Ronin.
    1. The units may not always respond. In one battle I sent a group of archers to a bridge and then decided that they should go to a second bridge. It was all I could do to get the whole group to obey my command.
    2. When provinces turn into Ronin provinces due to the death of the Daimyo, the structures that are queued up in the provinces are still retained. This statement applies to those provinces in which battles did not take place. Notices will be received during the game of structures being completed that were never queued up by the player.
    3. When the whole country is rebel, there is no winning video.
