  • Split up: 3 provinces in the west (Aki, Bingo, Bitchu) surrounded by Mori. 3 provinces in east (Izu, Kai, Sagami) surrounded by Hojo, Uesugi, and Imagawa.
  • Advantage: Cavalry cheaper
  • Strategy: The Takeda clan is difficult to fight with. In the west they are surrounded by the Mori who are aggressive and untrustworthy. In the east they are bordered by the Imagawa, the Hojo, and the Uesugi, and the Oda are not very far away. The Hojo and the Oda are aggressive and untrustworthy, and the Imagawa weaken the Takeda with Ninja attacks. The east is where the most Koku are gained.

  • (1) Option 1: Retreat in the west to Aki. Build a Spear Dojo in Aki if you can afford it. Get a treaty with the Uesugi and the Imagawa if you can. Attack the Hojo.
    (2) Option 2: Attack Mimasaka and destroy the Mori ability to train new troops. Get a treaty with the Hojo and the Imagawa. Attack Shinano and the Uesugi.
    (3) Option 3: Get a treaty with the Hojo and the Uesugi. Attack the Imagawa.
    (4) Option 4: Combinations of the above tactics.
